Lauren O’Connell

Lauren O’Connell grew up in Long Beach, California, and has been a member of the foothill community for 16 years. She is a graduate of the California Academy of Mathematics and Science and attended Long Beach Community College, California State Dominguez Hills, Fresno Community College, and National University.

In addition to her past coaching experience in Southern California, Lauren currently coaches Track & Field locally at Pine Ridge Elementary. When she is not busy caring for her daughters, ages 10 and 16, and husband (SES/SHS alumni) Devin O’Connell, she can be found coordinating the local Warriors Youth Cheer Program. She believes that team sports are a vital part of a child growing up to be a “team player” in his/her adult life. Lauren promotes a healthy lifestyle and dedicated work ethic within the MCRF Cheer program, as do the coaches she selects to teach and mentor the athletes throughout each season.
